I am using it with Zoom's H5 recorder which I also love and the noise floor is very low and I like that it is not sending the signal over an unbalanced connection like the Rode VideoMic does. And, overall, I think the side rejection is better than the VideoMic.

Having said that, it is a very bright mic with very little low end, so it sounds rather unnatural. It's almost like hearing my voice through a phone speaker.
